Jessica, now 41, has recently starred in a couple of iconic TV miniseries like The Sinner and Limetown.
She also served as executive producer on the series Cruel Summer.
Biel has been married to Justin Timberlake since 2012, and they have two sons, Silas, eight, and Phineas, two.
In 2018, Biel addressed the Gear scandal during an interview on the Awards Chatter podcast and revealed she felt the role of Mary was quite “limiting”.
“You can only do so much with a particular character specifically on a show like that,” she explained.
“We really had to sort of stay in the boundaries of a somewhat religious family and teaching lessons…”
She added: ”I had to apologise to everybody, which is sort of the theme of my experience on 7th Heaven. I was always apologising.”
Biel said she also apologised to the show’s creator, Aaron Spelling, and recalled the cast and crew being “shocked” at the magazine cover.
“I think my entire crew and cast were, needless to say, shocked… The worst part was I had to go back to work,” Biel added.
“The thing comes out and literally I had to go back to work that next morning… They didn’t know if they should look me in the eye and I was just a mess.”
