Adan Canto death: Designated Survivor star Adan Canto dies aged 42


Hollywood star Adan Canto has died aged 42 after a private battle with appendiceal cancer, Deadline has reported. He was 42.

Canto was known for his role as Vice President-elect Aaron Shore in series Designated Survivor and most recently starred in drama series The Cleaning Lady.

“Adan had a depth of spirit that few truly knew. Those who glimpsed it were changed forever,” his representatives said, according to the publication.

“He will be greatly missed by so many.”

According to Deadline, Canto was planning to rejoin the cast of The Cleaning Lady to film season three, after he was unable to join production last month due to his health.

The show will reportedly pay tribute to Canto in the next season.

Appendiceal cancer is cancer of the appendix. Symptoms include bloating, pain, nausea and vomiting.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie Ann Canto and their children Roman, three, and Eve Josephine, one.

Canto starred on Designated Survivor as Aaron Shore and the show ran from 2016 – 2019.
