Candice Warner shares tribute to husband David in India


Former Ironwoman turned WAG Candice Warner has paid tribute to husband David Warner as he plays cricket in India.

The sports star, 37, is with the Australian team playing in the Cricket World Cup.

Candice, 38, who has been married to the cricketer since 2015, shared on Instagram on Monday a picture of the pair together at the beach and captioned it: “Missing you David.”

She added: “Can’t wait for more days like this. ❤️”

Underneath the post, David replied: ”Love ya, get the BBQ fired up please,” alongside a love heart emoji.

The Australian cricket team is in India in September, November and December for series of matches.

Last month, Candice shared another picture of her and David on Instagram and captioned it: “Missing you each day. Looking forward to more times like this with you.”

Candice previously said on the on Nova’s Not Another Parenting Podcast that she would sometimes break down in tears while driving - out of loneliness.

“It has been a challenge, and you think as a mum, as a wife, as anyone, you’re invincible. But we all have our weaknesses, our moments,” the mother-of-three said.

”And there’s been time where… I’ve been driving and I just break down into tears. Or my kids are in the back screaming. I’m just like, ‘When is this going to end?'”

She also revealed he is ”generally away 300 days of the year”.

Candice previously spoke about motherhood and told Now to Love it’s “extremely tough but very rewarding”.

She also previously said that while lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic was tough, it also had some benefits for their family.

“David for the first time wasn’t travelling with the cricket,” Candice said, according to Who magazine.

“So he was able to be home and be with the family. We spent a wedding anniversary together for the first time, he got to see his daughter go to school for the first time. There were so many firsts. He got to see his daughter walk for the first time”.
