Chance Perdomo‘s loved ones and co-stars have been plunged into mourning, with many paying tribute following the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V actor’s shock death.
Perdomo, who was best known for playing Ambrose Spellman in the supernatural Netflix series and Andre Anderson in Prime Video‘s The Boys spinoff, died over the weekend in a motorcycle accident. He was 27.
“This hurts. A lot. What a young talented actor, and a great friend – gone way too soon,” Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s son Patrick Schwarzenegger wrote on X (formerly Twitter) of his late Gen V co-star.

Schwarzenegger, who played Perdomo’s on-screen best friend Luke Riordan/Golden Boy in the series, continued: “Was a pleasure to work with him in Gen V. RIP Chance ❤️❤️❤️”.
He also shared a series of snaps on his Instagram Story, with the last containing the message: “Love yah buddy. Hope you’re up in heaven with a cigar.”
When a fan shared a photo from Gen V showing Schwarzenegger and Perdomo’s characters hugging, he replied: “Damn that just made me tear up”.

New Zealand actor Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in The Boys and appeared in Gen V‘s first season’s finale, wrote on his Instagram Story of Perdomo’s death: “So goddamn tragic.”
Starr had shared the statement released by Gen V‘s producers, which began: ”We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.”
“Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense,” the statement continued.
“We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

The Boys‘ Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara and Erin Moriarty also re-shared Prime Video’s tributes to their own Instagram accounts over the weekend.
Skye Marshall, who played Mambo Marie LeFleur in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, also shared a lengthy tribute to her co-star.
Marshall’s message, shared to Instagram, began: “27 💔 No, not Chance. I don’t want to believe this.”

“Chance was my baby. A kind, precious man who’s extraordinarily gifted, very intelligent, loving hugger, energetic, radiant force of nature with a beautiful vibrant soul and a bright childlike smile, moving to the beat of his own drum,” she continued.
“We’d both light up every single time we saw each other. The last communication we shared was last month, and my final words to him were, ‘I love you!!’ And he knew it. I’m in a state of shock and devastation, as so many are. I’m not ready to process this pain.
“Sending love to his whole family, his amazing mother who i know is shattered, and to the [Chilling Adventures of Sabrina] friends & fans grieving this massive loss. Please do not take one day of life for granted! I love you Chancie Pooh,” she concluded.

Perdomo’s death was confirmed by his representatives on Saturday (Sunday in Australia), which noted he had died “as a result of a motorcycle accident.”
“Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” the statement read.
“We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
