Fred Again 2024 Australia Tickets: British DJ Fred Again promises new Australian shows at Sydney gig as rumours swirl of upcoming Melbourne gig

Fred Again fans, it’s time to brace yourselves once more.

Less than 24 hours after the British DJ sparked a frenzy among his Aussie fans almost rivalling Taylor Swift’s ticketing chaos, the 30-year-old Adore U hitmaker is at it again.

He revealed at his surprise Sydney gig last night that he’ll be announcing “a bunch more” Australian shows today.

That’s according to footage shared to Pedestrian‘s TikTok page, purportedly captured on Tuesday night at Fred Again’s last-minute Sydney Opera House concert.

“Thank you so much,” the musician can be seen saying in an onstage address to the screaming crowd.

”This is not the end, we haven’t come all this way for one show. We’re announcing a bunch more tomorrow, we love you. Thank you!”

According to a report on 3AW Breakfast’s Rumour File this morning, Fred Again is also speculated to be playing an as-yet unannounced gig at a large music venue in Melbourne next week.

It was only hours before he took the stage last night that Fred Again announced his Sydney gig, casually taking to his Instagram Story with a photo of himself during the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb with the message: ”Australiaaaaaaa!!!!! We here! Sydney opera house tonight!”

”THis show genuinely is super last minute.. so we’re super gassed to be able to do it at all!

“We’re doing a REAL stripped version of the show cos we’ve only got 2 hours to build it! No lights, one small screen, me, tony, and maybe the most beautiful venue in the world.”

He then included a link to tickets, which tens of thousands of people immediately clicked.

There were reports that within 10 minutes of Fred Again’s announcement, there were “already almost 30,000 people waiting for tickets”.

That number soon ballooned to more than 70,000, and tickets very quickly sold out.

It’s not the first time Fred Again has surprised his Aussie fans with a last-minute gig announcement – in 2023, he played at the Laneway Festival and then held secret shows in Sydney and Melbourne after dropping subtle clues on his Instagram Story, which is evidently his modus operandi.

His surprise Melbourne show last year, according to Humanitix, reportedly old out in 3.4 seconds – less time than it takes to open up your web browser app.

Good luck to all, and may the odds be ever in your favour.
