How Kate Moss went from humble beginnings to one of the highest-paid supermodels

Kate Moss is one of the most iconic supermodels of all time.

Moss, now 49, first burst onto the modelling scene as a teenager after being discovered at JFK Airport after a trip to The Bahamas.

She soon sent shockwaves through the industry with her chiseled cheekbones and waifish figure, becoming known as the “anti-supermodel” standing at 5′ 7″.

The British model soon rose to fame thanks to adverts in Calvin Klein and has modelled for the likes of Burberry and Chanel.

But her personal life has also made headlines – from her short-lived romance with Johnny Depp and five- year marriage to Jamie Hince, to being dropped by high-end brands amid scandal.

She’s now at the helm of her own skincare and wellness line, Cosmoss, runs her own modelling agency and is a doting mother to daughter Lila Moss, 21, who is now carving out her own path as a model.

To mark her 50th birthday on January 16, 9Honey Celebrity takes a look at Kate Moss’ life and career in photos, and the highs and lows in between.
