The couple explained they had “jointly filed to end our marriage” in 2023 but have kept the news quiet until now.

“We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change,” they said.

“We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

Fisher, 48, and Baron Cohen, 52, have three kids together – daughters Olive, 16, and Elula 13, as well as son Montgomery, nine.

The news comes after Baron Cohen got into a public clash with Rebel Wilson, over allegations of on-set behaviour from the Australian actress on the set of their 2016 spy action comedy Grimsby.

Baron Cohen has denied the allegations, calling Wilson’s claims “demonstrably false”.

Fisher has not spoken about the co-stars’ clash but instead took to social media this week to share a photo alongside fellow Australian actress Naomi Watts during a girls’ night out at the theatre.

Baron Cohen said later in a New York Times interview he knew immediately that he’d met his match in the Home & Away alum.

“We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did. It’s taken her about 20 years to know.”

The couple got engaged in 2004 with Wedding Crashers actress converting to Judaism ahead of their 2010 wedding in Paris.
