See How This Chic Royal Wears Jeans to a Fashion Show

It’s not like we’ve never seen a royal wearing denim before (we’re looking at you, Princess Kate), but when we spotted Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco at the Chanel couture show, we almost did a double take.

Compared to other European royals, the princess (a granddaughter of the uber-elegant Princess Grace) seldom participates in public events. But, when she does, her outfits are on point. And dare we say a bit more accessible than the glamorous gowns worn to black tie affairs.

Styled in the brand’s signature black and white herringbone jacket, this low-key royal kept things casual but polished in a pair of slim, ankle-length jeans, cap-toe Mary Janes, and a quilted Chanel handbag. Wearable everywhere from couture shows to cafes, this outfit has a certain je ne sais quois that makes it go-to for almost any occasion.

But, since we’re not quite regal enough to have an entire winter wardrobe comprised of Chanel designs at our disposal, we decided to do what we do best: recreate the look with similarly stylish pieces. Ahead, shop black and white coats, jeans, Mary Janes, and top handle bags that are fit for a royal, but budget-friendly enough for her subjects.
